Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship in America is a nonprofit organization of Christian laymen from nearly every denominational background who are dedicated to reaching men with the good news of Jesus Christ.
Our mission is based on a vision that God gave to Demos Shakarian, founder of the International Fellowship, in 1952. In that vision, God took Demos around the world and showed him “millions and millions of men standing shoulder to shoulder.”
To reach men everywhere for Jesus Christ, taking particular note that in many instances men can reach others of their same social, cultural or business interests more readily than anyone else.
On Friday, December 26th, 1952, I told Tommy Hicks, a guest in my home: “Tomorrow morning is the last meeting of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship.” After fourteen months of meetings, thousands of miles of travel, phone calls, letters, “free breakfast” ads to entice men to attend, and 100% of my energy, the Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship seemed dead.
Here is an explanation for the heraldic elements of the design.
The Colors. According to Ancient and Heraldic traditions much symbolism is associated with colors. The colors on the American flag represent the following:
White – peace and honesty
Red – hardiness, bravery, strength & valour
Blue – vigilance, truth and loyalty, perseverance & justice.” (Source: Flags Flags Flags)
